The Trauma Certificate Program enables clinicians to integrate contemporary theory and practice in traumatology into their psychoanalytic/psychodynamic work. We offer foundational and advanced coursework over a wide array of trauma topics and a supervised clinical practicum featuring EMDR and other trauma intervention techniques. Clinicians are strongly supported in their learning by experienced faculty and supervisors, an ongoing clinical seminar, and careful attention to the clinician’s own needs for emotional safety and self-regulation when engaging in this challenging work.

The certificate program is typically completed in two years on a part-time basis, but time for completion of requirements may be extended or accelerated if needed. Certification requirements include completion of seven courses given on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, completion of EMDR training, and supervised treatment of 3 patients in the trauma treatment center.
